Calling Features

Call Forwarding-No Answer
This feature is separate and distinct from the two call forwarding features listed above. After a set number of rings and no one answers the phone, the call is forwarded to a fixed number. This second number is determined at the time of activation and cannot be changed. Free HMU feature

Call Forwarding-Busy
This feature is separate and distinct from Call Forwarding - All. If your line is busy, an incoming call will automatically be forwarded to a fixed number. This number is determined at the time of activation and cannot be changed. Call Forwarding - All will override this feature. This option is always active. Free HMU feature

Call Forwarding-All
Forwards all calls to another number. You can change the second number when needed. Free HMU feature

Three-way Calling
You can talk with two other parties at the same time. Free HMU feature

Call Waiting
When you're using your telephone, a tone alerts you that another call is coming in. You can switch between the call you're on and the new one. Free HMU feature

Cancel Call Waiting
Activate this feature for those times you wish to cancel Call Waiting. Works well if you have a fax machine or dial up Internet service on the same line as you're telephone. Free HMU feature

Call Transfer
Allows you to transfer calls to a third party. The person initiating the transfer can either stay on the line or hang up without disrupting the call. Similar to transferring calls at work, you can now transfer calls from home to another telephone number. If you transfer calls to a cellular phone or  a long distance number, normal charges may apply to your telephone. Free HMU feature

Caller ID Blocking
Prevents your phone number from being displayed on Caller ID display panels. When you place a call, the identification panel on the receiving caller's ID panel will indicate an unknown name and number. Helps prevent any unlisted numbers from showing up on a caller ID box. Free HMU feature

Priority Ringing
You can tell by a distinctive ring when designated people are calling. Free HMU feature

Anonymous Call Rejection
Rejects incoming calls from callers who have their name and number blocked. May be helpful in reducing telemarketing calls. Free HMU feature

Telemarketer Rejection
Reduces the amount of unwanted telemarketing calls. Incoming numbers are pre-screened. Friends and family come through but telemarketers are turned away by a pre-recorded message. Free HMU feature

Speed Dial 8 Numbers
Program 8 frequently called numbers and use a one digit code instead. Free HMU feature

 

Second Directory Number
Allows a second directory number to be assigned at a residence. When the second number is dialed, telephones will ring with a distinctive ringing pattern to identify which number is being called. Works well for parents tired of answering calls for their children or roommates sharing one telephone line. $2.99/mo

Caller ID with Call Waiting
Combines Caller ID with Call Waiting. You can see who is calling while you're on another call with a Caller ID box equipped to receive Caller ID with Call Waiting.
Caller ID Name and Number and Call Waiting features must also be active in order for this feature to work. $2.99/mo

Voicemail  
When someone calls, and you line is busy or no one answers, the call will roll over to voice mail. If someone leaves a message, a stuttered dial tone is heard when you  pick up your telephone. You can also retrieve your messages from any other phone by using your personal PIN code. $2.99/mo

Speed Dial 30 Numbers
Program 30 frequently called numbers and use a  two digit code instead. $2.99/mo

Caller ID Name and Number
A special unit displays the number of the telephone and name of the caller before you pick up your telephone. An add on display unit or display telephone is necessary. $4.99/mo

Sim (Simultaneous) Ring
Program up to four phone numbers, that ring simultaneously, when the main number is dialed. These numbers may be other telephones, cell phones or even pager numbers. The first phone answered will be connected to the call. $4.99/mo
